Frequently Asked Questions
Below are the most frequent asked questions. For more detailed questions and answers, visit the specific Category.
What is DTC.ZONE?
DTC.ZONE is a comprehensive platform designed to make software licensing, user authentication, application protection, and distribution as simple and secure as possible. We provide developers with a web panel and tools to manage license keys, protect their applications from bad actors, and deliver their products to users in a secure environment.
How does your system protect my application from being cracked or pirated?
Security is our top priority. Your application is launched via our secure bootstrapper, which executes it in a protected, secure environment. This means your actual application files are never stored on the end-user's disk, significantly reducing the risk of unauthorized access or reverse engineering. We also implement a variety of other protection mechanisms to actively fight against malicious activities.
What is the authentication experience like for my customers?
The process is designed to be seamless. Your customers will use a custom client, which will feature a unique UI, to authenticate. They simply enter the license key you provide. If it's their first time, an account is automatically created for them. If they already have an account, the new product is added to it. They can then view all their purchased products, see expiration dates, and launch them directly.
Do I need to be an expert coder to integrate your system?
Not at all. Our core system is designed to work "without any extra code." You can manage your products, licenses, and users entirely through our web panel. For developers who want deeper, custom integration, we also provide a powerful API to check authentication status or if the app is running in our secure environment.
How does your secure file delivery work?
Our platform allows you to upload files and smaller "variables." To ensure security, files must be manually paired to a specific application. This means an end-user running "Product A" can only download files that you have explicitly paired with "Product A." They cannot access files meant for "Product B" or any other product, protecting your data even if a bad actor gains access to the app's environment.
What is the difference between "Files" and "Variables"?
"Files" are typically larger assets for your application. They are subject to our strict security pairing, meaning they can only be downloaded by the specific app they are linked to. "Variables" are very small pieces of data, essentially tiny files, designed to be downloaded very quickly. Unlike files, variables are global and can be downloaded by any of your applications without needing to be paired.
Can I work with my team to manage our products?
Yes. Our web panel supports team collaboration. You can invite your team members and grant them permissions to add, edit, or delete license keys, files and more for any of your products, allowing for efficient team-based management.
How can I let resellers sell my software licenses?
We offer a complete, built-in solution for resellers. You can create and customize products—like a license key for one or multiple apps—that resellers can then sell. The system runs on credits, which can be purchased using cryptocurrency. You have full control to customize reseller tiers, product pricing, and the quantity of each product available.
Can I connect your service to my own website or Discord server?
Absolutely. We provide a backend API that allows you to integrate our platform's functionalities directly into your own website for custom solutions. Additionally, you can assign a unique webhook to each of your apps to send messages and notifications from the client to external platforms, such as a Discord server.
What is "Session Tracking"?
Session tracking allows you to monitor your application's usage in real-time. A "session" is created every time a user starts one of your apps through our secure launcher. Our panel allows you to keep track of all sessions a user has run in the past or is currently running, giving you valuable insight into how your software is being used.
