Below are the most frequent asked questions related to user accounts.

How is a user account created?

A user account is created automatically the first time a person without an account enters a valid license key into the client. They will be prompted to choose a unique username and a password to finalize the account creation process.

How does a user log into their account?

After the initial account creation, the user's credentials are saved on their PC for an automatic login experience each time they open the client. To log into an existing account on a new device (after a hardware ID reset), the user will need their User ID.

Can I use my account on more than one computer?

No, for security reasons every user account is bound to the hardware ID of the computer it was created on and cannot be used on other devices simultaneously. However, you as the developer or administrator can issue a hardware ID reset for a user at any time to allow them to move their account to a new computer.

What happens if a user redeems another license key for a product they already own?

The subscription time from the new license key will be added on top of their existing subscription time. For example, if a user has 15 days left and redeems a 30-day key for the same product, their new subscription duration will be 45 days.

What happens if a user forgets their password?

The password for a user's account can be reset. You can facilitate this process for them through the admin panel.

Is there a difference between a Username and a User ID?

Yes. The Username is a unique name chosen by the user upon account creation. The User ID is a unique identifier assigned to every account by the system. While the username is for identification, the User ID is specifically required if a user needs to log in to an existing account on a new machine after a hardware ID reset.
